Courtney Brewer of Union City has been named an All-American Scholar by the United States Achievement Academy.
Miss Brewer, the daughter of Steve and Patricia Jonas of Union City, is a student at Obion County Central High School.
She was nominated for the honor by Jan Smothers and, as a result, will appear in the All-American Scholar Yearbook which is published annually.
The USAA established the program to offer recognition to superior students who excel in the academic disciplines.
The All-American Scholars must earn a 3.3 or higher grade point average. Only scholars selected by a school instructor, counselor or other qualified sponsor are accepted.
