Conference held locally

The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Tennessee at Martin and the Reelfoot Lake Environmental Field Station recently hosted the annual conference of the Tennessee Herpetological Society.
The conference provided an opportunity for participants to share the results of their most recent research activities or to discuss issues that may affect conservation efforts directed at amphibian and reptile populations in the state.
Several speaking sessions were held, as well as a field trip to the Reelfoot Lake area to observe amphibians and reptiles common to West Tennessee in their natural habitats.
The Tennessee Herpetological Society is a group dedicated to the study and conservation of amphibians and reptiles.
