Symposium Club meets

Posted: Monday, November 12, 2012 8:00 pm

A recent meeting of the Symposium Club was held in the home of Elizabeth Kendall with 13 members present. Jane Huffstetler served a delicious warm cherry delight with ice cream. She also served coffee and fruit tea.
Elizabeth White presented a fascinating program on the Crane Paper Company and its manufacturing of paper since pre-Revolutionary times. Paul Revere, Eleanor Roosevelt and the Queen of England are among millions, from the eminent to the ordinary, from heads of state to heads of households, from European monarchs to Hollywood royalty, who have relied on the fine 100 percent cotton stationary made by Crane Paper Company to help shape their place in history. During its 350 year existence, the Crane Paper Company has been supplying quality paper to the U.S. Mint as well as to businesses to socialites. The quality of the paper makes it the paper of choice for invitations for weddings, state dinners and many other premier events.
The November meeting will be in the home of Barbara Jones, with Beverly Hunt as co-hostess. Alice Dunlap will present the program.
