The Shepard's Field

Posted: Thursday, November 15, 2012 6:01 pm

Celebrate Recovery was a little different last Tuesday because of Election Day. We were not able to enter the church due to the seriousness of elections and wonderfully improvised. We had our meeting at the gazebo on our grounds. We ate chili and corn chowder and for dessert there were dirt pie and roasted S'mores by a beautiful bonfire.  We read the steps and had some good prayer.

Again, Celebrate Recovery meets every Tuesday at The Shepard’s Field at 6:30 p.m. for dinner then immediately following is our meeting. If you or someone you know needs help in the areas of alcoholism, drug addiction, depression and/or hopelessness please come to Celebrate Recovery. We offer food, fellowship and hope.

Sunday nights Lifeline was "Off the Hook" again. Bro. Fady opened with prayer and we then had one Baptism and had one member give her testimony. Danielle, you spoke from your heart, the good and bad, and are such an inspiration.

The Praise/Worship team is out of this world. They played and sang “Let It Rain,” “Holy Is Our King” and “Break Every Chain.” Simply the most gorgeous and inspiring music to begin the Word.

Bro. Fady spoke of the mission of Lifeline and his goals. We are so blessed in having the UTM Martin campus representatives with us in our praise.

Right now we are working on getting a building in South Fulton and will call it Lifeline.  This will be a physical place where those in need can pray, get food, clothes, parenting skills, resume building, job skills. Lifeline will offer hope and assistance to those in need. Our goal is to have one Lifeline location in every city/town in Northwest Tennessee.  God is doing wonders at Shepard's Field.

Again, Sundays at 6 p.m. we have an all-out worship service and we are calling this the Lifeline. Please come to both or either, you will not be disappointed.
