The Messenger, November 27, 2012
Two Weakley County residents were arrested last week in connection with break-ins and thefts at a restaurant and churches there.
Jake Colten Pilla, 22, and Helen Elisa Pilla, 21, both of Greenfield, were arrested Wednesday by Weakley County Sheriff’s Department investigators in connection with alleged burglaries and thefts, according to a Weakley County Sheriff’s Department press release.
Authorities said they were arrested for break-ins and thefts from Shelton’s Restaurant on Highway 45 between Sharon and Martin on both Aug. 21 and Nov. 18; Victory Baptist Church on Highway 89 between Sharon and Sidonia on Nov. 18; and Beech Springs Church on Highway 190 between Gleason and Pillowville on Nov. 19.
Items taken in the thefts were recovered, the sheriff’s department reported.
The two suspects are currently incarcerated in the Gibson County Jail on numerous charges there.
Sheriff’s investigators said a break-in and theft which occurred Nov. 19 at the Little General store in Sharon is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department at (731) 364-5454 or contact Crime Stoppers.
