UTM soccer team
lauded for grades

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America has rewarded UT Martin for its academic excellence during the 2011-12 year.
The Skyhawks are one of 504 women’s collegiate teams that posted a team Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award.
UT Martin boasted a 3.20 team GPA for the 2011-12 academic season and sported 11 players on the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
In addition to its academic success, UTM has also registered its two most successful seasons in program history under head coach Phil McNamara.
The Skyhawks have made back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances and won their first OVC Tournament championship (2011) and first-ever outright OVC regular season title (2012).
