Two Obion County students have been named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester at Vanderbilt University in Nashville as a result of their outstanding academic achievements.
The honorees include Joshua Ryan Owens, son of Carol Owens of Union City, a student in the College of Arts and Sciences; and Nancy Tan, daughter of S. Tan and A. Trinh of Union City, also a student in the College of Arts and Sciences.
To qualify for the Dean’s List, students at Vanderbilt must receive grades equivalent to a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

Ashley Reed, daughter of Ken and Claudia Reed of Jackson, recently graduated cum laude from the University of Memphis with a bachelor of science degree in nursing.
She is the grandaughter of James and Gloria May of Union City and Leon and Nanette Reed of Dyer.
Miss Reed has accepted a position with Duke University Hospital in Durham, N.C.
