OUT OF THIS WORLD — Several students in teacher Mellany Warner’s class at Union City Elementary School recently completed space projects following completion of a unit of study of the solar system. Among them were (from left) Daniel Wohlfarth, Jeremy Bumpus, Kalab Dowell, Aundrea Meadows, Kelsey Woodard and Elisa Pina. Many Internet Web sites and PowerPoint presentations were used by students to enhance their learning, and various art projects were used to reinforce learning and creativity. Students were assigned optional space projects at the end of the study.
