December 4-H workshop | Obion County Public Library, University of Tennessee Obion County 4-H

CHRISTMAS WORKSHOP — Each month the Obion County Public Library and the University of Tennessee Obion County 4-H Program team up and provide workshops for children grades K-6. These workshops provide students with vital life skills such as independence, good self-esteem and the ability to think creatively. The December workshop celebrated Christmas. Youth created snowman containers to give as gifts to friends, parents and teachers. Inside the containers was a Snowman Soup mix, including homemade hot chocolate. Participants also had the opportunity to sample the hot chocolate mix. The next workshop is scheduled for Jan. 16 and will celebrate winter. Pre-registration is required and parents may contact children’s librarian Jenny Virgin at 885-7000 to register their children. TAG members assisting during the workshop included Lexi Lunsford and Samantha Davis, who is also a 4-H All Star. 4-H volunteers assisting included 4-H All Star Nancy Davis and Arianna Hill. Among those attending were (first row, from left) Katelyn Ramsey, Gabrielle Price, Dylan Cornette, Gavin Price, (second row) Lizbeth Thomas, Abigail Brewer, Natalie Duty, Libbi Clark, Aidan Olejniczak, Chloe O’Connor, Kaydence O’Connor, (third row) Thorpe Mitchell, Anthony Brewer, Nolan Chandler, Ella Virgin, (back) Jacob Virgin, Jay Ramsey, Miss Hill and Samantha Davis.
