The Union City School System has announced the following lunch menus for Jan. 7-11:
Union City High School
& UC Middle School
Monday, Jan. 7 — Baked chicken nuggets or baked beef fingers with whole wheat roll, mashed potatoes with gravy, carrot sticks, fresh apple, canned peaches and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Tuesday, Jan. 8 — Beef taco or tuna salad with whole grain tortilla, fresh taco salad cup, pinto beans, fresh orange, canned applesauce and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Wednesday, Jan. 9 — Baked beef patty with cornbread or turkey bologna and cheese with whole grain bread, steamed cabbage, Great Northern beans, fresh grapes, canned pineapple and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Thursday, Jan. 10 — Baked chicken patty with whole grain bun or crispito, sweet potato bites, steamed broccoli, fresh sandwich salad cup, fresh orange, canned pears and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Friday, Jan. 11 — Cheeseburger with whole grain bun or whole grain corndog, French fries, fresh sandwich salad cup, fresh banana, canned mandarin oranges and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Note: UCHS and UCMS offer fresh salad bar options daily.
Union City Elementary

South Fulton Elementary School has announced the following menus for Jan. 7-11:
Breakfast
Monday, Jan. 7 — Whole grain breakfast cereal bar or yogurt with whole grain cereal and low-fat milk or juice.
Tuesday, Jan. 8 — Whole grain breakfast bagel or whole grain cereal with graham crackers and low-fat milk or juice.
Wednesday, Jan. 9 — Whole grain strawberry pancakes or whole grain cereal with graham crackers and fresh fruit and low-fat milk or juice.
Thursday, Jan. 10 — Mini French toast or whole grain cereal with whole grain toast and jelly and low-fat milk or juice.
Friday, Jan. 11 — Whole grain biscuit with sliced ham or whole grain cereal with graham crackers and low-fat milk or juice.
Note: Free breakfast is offered daily to every SFES student.
Lunch
Monday, Jan. 7 — Beef and mac or popcorn chicken, sliced potatoes, glazed carrots, fruit bowl and low-fat milk or juice.
Tuesday, Jan. 8 — Whole grain pepperoni pizza or turkey and cheese sandwich, sweet potato fries, green beans, fresh whole orange and low-fat milk or juice.
Wednesday, Jan. 9 — Chicken patty with whole wheat hamburger bun or mini corndog, white beans, sweet potatoes, fruit bowl and low-fat milk or juice.
Thursday, Jan. 10 — Grilled cheese sandwich or tuna sandwich, chicken noodle soup, carrot sticks, fresh broccoli, fresh grapes and low-fat milk or juice.
Friday, Jan. 11 — Hamburger or grilled chicken patty with whole wheat hamburger bun, lettuce and tomato, oven potatoes, fresh banana and low-fat milk or juice.
