Boys & Girls Club Teen of the Month

Brooklyn Cobb, daughter of Misty Lightner of Union City and the late Emmanuel Cobb and the late Dennis Lightner, is the December Teen of the Month at Boys & Girls Club of Union City.
“Brooklyn is a very friendly and polite young lady that I have had the pleasure of knowing for several years,” said Boys & Girls Club director Tracy Boucher. “Throughout all of the trials and adversity in her life, she has always managed to see the positive. And with that type of attitude I know that she has the ability to lead a happy and successful life.”
Miss Cobb has been a club member for five years and enjoys participating in activities with the teen staff and her peers.
She is an eighth-grader at Union City Middle School, where she is a member of the softball team and has received perfect attendance awards in 2011 and 2012.
She is a member of Jacksonville Baptist Church in South Fulton and enjoys playing travel team softball and texting with her friends.
