General Sessions

The following cases were disposed of Jan. 14-18 in Obion County General Sessions Court by Judge Jimmy Smith, or fines paid before scheduled court appearances, and were recorded in the dockets in the office of Obion County Circuit Court Clerk Harry Johnson.
The cases listed exclude routine traffic violations, civil cases and cases that are dismissed, unless dismissal is contingent upon costs being paid or other conditions. All others are published, including judicial diversions and deferred cases, without exception.

• Christopher O. Tyson — aggravated assault and resisting a stop, arrest or search (weapon involved), bound over to the grand jury.
• Ashley Abbott — theft of merchandise/shoplifting, judicial diversion.
• Terrance D. Boykin — prevention/obstruction service of legal process, deferred on amended charge of evading arrest.
• Lakersha Cavitt — driving while license suspended, deferred.
• Jason R. Coleman — driving while license suspended, deferred.
• Charles Matthew Jones — simple possession/casual exchange, deferred.
• Finis M. Jordan — driving while license suspended (second or subsequent), deferred.
• Saul Rodriguez — driving without a license, deferred; financial responsibility law violation, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
• Timothy S. Alexander — two counts of fraudulent use of a credit/debit card (up to $500), guilty as charged.
• Oscar M. Castellanos — driving without a license, guilty as charged.
• Arthur Matthews — aggravated burglary, guilty as charged on amended charge of theft (up to $500); public intoxication, guilty as charged.
