LET’S GET PACKING

LET’S GET PACKING — The Weakley County Backpack Program recently received a donation of more than 400 plastic bags from the staff of Hillview Nursing Home. The bags are needed to pack food and are sent home with Weakley County students to help prevent hunger over the weekend and on holidays when students are not in school. On hand for the donation from Hillview were (from left) Kim Couch, Sandra Roudenbush, Kristi Jarrett, Valorie Oliver, Backpack Program representative Lori Mathis and Jenny Clark. Anyone who would like to make a donation or volunteer with the backpack program is asked to contact one of its board members: Colin Johnson, Amy Hopper, Lori Mathis, Melanie Johnson, Ellie Holt, Jake Bynum or Mary Margaret Chester, or check out the program’s Facebook page.
