Industry creating new jobs

Huf North America has announced the company will expand its Greeneville facility, representing an investment of $20 million and the creation of 100 manufacturing jobs.
The company will add a 52,000 square foot addition to its current structure for a plastic injection molding and paint facility.
The expansion is expected to be complete in 2013, with customer deliveries beginning in 2014, according to a state Department of Economic Development news release.
“Our Jobs4TN Plan made expanding existing businesses in Tennessee one of our priorities, and it identified the automotive industry as one of six key clusters in which Tennessee has a distinct competitive advantage we could leverage for job growth,” Gov. Bill Haslam said. “Huf North America has been a part of Tennessee’s business community for nearly two decades, and I want to congratulate the company on its ongoing success.”
“Huf North America is excited to announce the business and process expansion at our Greeneville, Tenn., location to include plastic injection molding and paint, which will create 100 new jobs,” Huf North America president and CEO Michael Supe said. “Our Tennessee location was established in 1995 and is considered a central logistic location for the Huf Group, supplying German and U.S. original equipment manufacturers. The expansion completion date is planned for the end of 2013, starting customer deliveries at the beginning of 2014.”
