All-State soccer star Carli Sisson of Crockett County High School has signed with the Bethel University. The all-district and all-region player helped the Lady Cavaliers enjoy four consecutive winning seasons for the first time in program history. The team was 40-25-2 during that four-year span. Sisson served as team captain for Crockett County and had 99 career goals and 38 careers assists. She scored 35 of those goals her senior season. Along with her athletic accomplishments, she has earned several academic awards and has been involved in several clubs and organizations during her high school career. She feels her strengths are her ability to read the field and her ability to play several different positions. She chose Bethel because of her familiarity with the program and the Bethel coaches. She played club soccer for coaches Misty Aird and Melvin Belong. “We are thrilled Carli has decided to continue her career as a student athlete at Bethel,” Aird said. “She is a smart and talented player who has a great passion for the game. Her ability to play several positions is a big plus. We look forward to her being a big part of our program for the next four years.” Published in The WCP 2.12.13
