HISTORY IN ACTION — The Paris 2521 Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy recently hosted its first-ever Lee-Jackson dinner at Fresh Market Restaurant in Paris. The speaker for the evening was Eric Jacobsen of Spring Hill, who presented the program “The McGavock Confederate Cemetery and its History.” Other groups which attended the dinner included the Isham G. Harris Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp from Paris and the Friends of Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park from Camden. Among the members and prospective members of the Paris 2521 Chapter are (from left, seated) Stephaine Tayloe, Val Routon, Donna Cooley, (standing) Julie Wilson, Debra Daniels, Joy Bland, Pat Boals, Sandra Paschall, Emily Conroy, Lois Conroy and Jenny Whitehead.
