Reader ponders questions To the editor: Sir, I have been thinking of some things that I don’t understand the reasons for: 1. Why does the postal service advertise on national TV? Is there someone who doesn’t know about the postal service? 2. Why do we grieve so much over the death (killing) of 20 children (it is so sad) but say nothing about the 55 million babies that have been aborted. 3. Why do we fund the ACLU where they can sue us? 4. When will African-Americans become Americans? 5. Why does the United States give foreign aid to countries that hate us with borrowed money? 6. When will we as a nation (that has turned away from God and Godly principles) realize that God is removing his blessings from us? Examples – unemployment, severe storms, drought, increase in crime. 7. How much longer will the minority rule over the majority? 8. Why can’t school students start their day with prayer like Congress does? I wish our religious leaders would get a passion for the teaching and preaching of the 10 commandments again. I believe it would help our nation to have a return to God (commandments 1-4) and to love our neighbors (commandments 5-10). Leon Hazlewood Martin
