Greetings to everyone from Pleasant Hill.
We started our Sunday at church with Mark Simpson teaching our class. We always have a good lesson with Mark and Greg.
Our worship started with Bro. Elwood, Bro. Mac, Angela and our visiting pianist, Bro. Mark Edwards, bringing a great music program.
Bro. Edwards is the vice president of Celebrating Grace, Inc., a Christian publishing company. He is a composer and arranger as well as hymnal editor. He was the Minister of Music at the First Baptist Church in Nashville for 30 years. His wife and their daughter’s family, Dr. and Mrs. Chris Hill and sons were visiting Sunday also.
Bro. Mac brought his message from II Corinthians 11:1-6 titled, “Christians Led Astray.”
Nathan Elliot will be preaching next Sunday morning and a church-wide potluck dinner will follow in the fellowship hall. Ladies, don’t forget to bring extra food Sunday since some of our best cooks will be out of town.
Bradley Hahn, son of Greg and Jenny Hahn, will be going on a mission trip to Skopje, Macedonia from March 8-18with a team from Wheaton College. He is going to college there and is on the football team. Most of the team goes on mission trips each spring during spring break.
Bobby Boyd, who was scheduled for surgery on his hip last week, was rescheduled for Monday. Pray that Bobby will have a speedy recovery.
Troy Nanney is the only person with a birthday. Happy birthday, Troy.
Until next week, may God bless.
