Pet fosters are needed

The Messenger, February 19, 2013 The local animal rescue organization Diamonds in the Ruff is in desperate need of volunteers to serve as fosters for abandoned dogs and cats. The organization can provide food and crates and will cover medical expenses if necessary, but the group needs volunteers to take care of animals on a short- or long-term basis. “We are out of space and out of volunteers,” a flyer states. “Without fosters, we cannot save any more animals and they will, in turn, be killed.” Diamonds in the Ruff will work with volunteers and let them foster an animal on a trial basis if necessary, and will allow fosters to switch animals if necessary. For more information about Diamonds in the Ruff or for information on how to become a foster, call 446-4013.
