Four students from Obion County were named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The local honorees were Kelsey Eason, Kimberley Eason, Hannah Jackson and Megan Montgomery. Students who make a 3.2 or higher semester grade point average are awarded the honor at UT-Chattanooga. — — — Kristi Greer of Union City recently graduated from the nursing program at Dyersburg State Community College. She was among 29 members of the fall graduating class who participated in the 43rd nursing pinning ceremony held by the college. The dedication required to become a registered nurse, including at least two years of demanding coursework, was acknowledged in the pinning ceremony held in the auditorium in the Academic Building of the DSCC Jimmy Naifeh Center at Tipton County. The nursing pin represents completion of the associate of applied science degree requirements for nursing. Each graduate also received a small ceramic replica of the lamp carried by Florence Nightingale.
