UC council to meet

The Messenger, March 4, 2013 The Union City city council will meet Tuesday evening at 5:30 in the courtroom of the Union City Municipal Building for a public hearing to be followed by a regular monthly meeting. Items on the agenda for the public hearing include: • an ordinance to amend the zoning ordinance to revise the allowable maximum widths for street access points; • an ordinance to amend the zoning ordinance to create a definition for “yard sale/garage sale”; Items on the agenda for the regular meeting include: • appointments to the Parks and Conservation Board and the Health, Education and Housing Facility Board; • an ordinance to amend the zoning ordinance to revise the allowable maximum widths for street access points; • an ordinance to amend the zoning ordinance to create a definition for “yard sale/garage sale”; • an ordinance to amend the city municipal code pertaining to dogs, cats, etc.; • consideration of demolition bids for 331 South Sixth St.; • the receiving of the Planning Commission minutes from Feb. 21 and the taking of appropriate action regarding the design concept of the proposed service drive located at Discovery Park of America: four traffic lanes with a median, provided a written service agreement is executed between the city and DPA that no trees will be planted within the median and the median is maintained by DPA; • miscellaneous items and bills. Visitors will also be recognized for the hearing of grievances and/or complaints. Public meetings are regularly held the first and third Tuesdays of each month and all sessions are open to the public.
