Posted: Wednesday, March 13, 2013 8:00 pm

Dyersburg State Community College celebrated homecoming by crowning new royalty during recent men’s and women’s basketball games held at the E.H. Lannom Jr. Gymnasium.
During halftime of the men’s game, reigning homecoming queen Ashlee Nichols of Ripley crowned Krista Tackett of Troy as the 2013 homecoming queen. Chosen as first maid was Tiana Cohill of Ripley and second maid was Sarah Mayfield of Union City.
Homecoming royalty is chosen by votes cast by the DSCC student body each year.
Miss Tackett is a graduate of Obion County Central High School. She is majoring in pre-physical therapy. She is the daughter of Joli Tackett of Troy.
Ms. Cohill graduated from Halls High School and is majoring in pre-health professional. She is the daughter of Jewel and Kevin Flagg of Ripley.
