A LOSING BATTLE — The winners in Health Quest’s most recent Biggest Loser individual competition were honored Saturday following final weigh-ins. They included (from left) Jim Leeke, men’s division Biggest Loser at 23.05 percent weight loss; Christina Everett, women’s division Biggest Loser at 17.79 percent; Michael Bergfeld, men’s division second place at 22.78 percent; Chris Menees, women’s division second place at 13.45 percent; Chuck Parks, men’s division third place at 22.57 percent; and Tammy Powers, women’s division third place at 12.36 percent. The top three men lost a combined 176.5 pounds, while the top three women lost a combined 85.5 pounds. In all, there were 50 men and 104 women who registered to participate in the eight-week competition, which resulted in a total loss of 1,248.5 pounds combined for all competitors who weighed in. Leeke and Ms. Everett each won $750 cash, a three-month Health Quest membership and a one-hour massage for placing first in their divisions, while the two second-place winners each received a three-month Health Quest membership and a one-hour massage and the two third-place winners each received a one-month Health Quest membership and a one-hour massage.
