Investigation over

Obion County officials have completed an investigation of an incident in which some questionable writing was discovered last month on a boys’ bathroom wall at South Fulton High School.
Obion County Director of Schools David Huss confirmed today that the investigation of the incident is complete and said the person responsible has been found. He said action which is in line with board of education policy has been implemented, but declined to say whether or not the individual involved is a student.
Precautionary measures were implemented Feb. 22 at the school after the questionable writing was discovered the previous day. Huss reported at that time that the writing made reference to a school shooting, but he emphasized that no threats were ever directly made to anyone and no gun was ever found.
The school was placed under lockdown as a precautionary measure and personnel from both the South Fulton Police Department and Obion County Sheriff’s Department were on hand for extra security.
