OC HONORED β The Obion County Adult Education Center recently received special recognition when the University of Tennessee at Martin Student Success Center (SSC) hosted its seventh annual GED Adult Education Center awards luncheon. The Obion County Adult Education Center had the top scorer with 718 and the county recorded the second highest number of clients who scored more than 600. The UT Martin GED testing center administered 977 tests last year for the 16 Tennessee counties and two Kentucky counties it serves. Special recognition was also given to the Henry County Adult Education Center, which received the award for having the highest number of clients who scored more than 600 out of a possible 800. βIt is with great pleasure that the Student Success Center can work with these adult education centers to meet the needs of their clients. They are an asset to West Tennessee and west Kentucky,β SSC director Dr. George Daniel said.
