“Soar to New Heights” will be the theme for Dyersburg State Community College’s annual Administrative Professionals Seminar.
This year’s seminar will be held Thursday at the Lannom Center in Dyersburg from 8:30 a.m.-1:45 p.m.
The seminar will consist of three morning presentations followed by a luncheon.
Back by popular demand is Ollie Mannino, who will present a morning session entitled “Soar to New Heights with Good Internal & External Customer Service Skills.” Ms. Mannino, who will also serve as keynote speaker for the luncheon, has been referred to as a trainer, motivational speaker, humorist and organizational consultant. She is committed to guiding individuals in assessing their personal, team and organizational effectiveness.
Ms. Mannino presents insights and strategies that are meaningful and applicable to today’s challenging world. She has spent the last 16 years conducting training sessions on a statewide and national level. She uses unique training techniques to produce an interesting, enthusiastic and fun manner to obtain important information.
Two additional sessions will be presented by Dr. Terry Roach, associate professor for Business Communication at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. The first session will be “Soar to New Heights with Good Interviewing Skills” and his second session will be “Soar with Good Business Etiquette and Protocol.”
Dr. Roach teaches business communication, managerial communication and graduate business teacher education courses at the university. He is the executive director for the Arkansas Business Education Association. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he is a certified business etiquette consultant and has conducted business etiquette training for many corporations and universities.
