First State Bank has announced the hiring of Seth Rhenberg as internal audit trainee of its corporate office, located at 221 Harrison St.
“I have the utmost confidence that Seth will quickly become a valuable part of First State and its ability to serve its customers,” said Brad Branscum, audit manager for First State.
“With his educational background, he should be an asset to the audit staff and our ability to provide greater support to First State and its customers. Seth brings a positive attitude to First State and I believe he will be diligent in providing service to our staff and management,” Branscum added.
“I am very excited to be in the audit department,” Rhenberg said. “I am looking forward to working on an experienced team that will help me in my professional development. First State is exceptional because the closeness the company shares makes it feel more like a family than a job and it is not often that you can find that close camaraderie in business.”
Rhenberg is a graduate of Union City High School. He continued his education at the University of Tennessee at Martin, where he received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration.
He worked at Clayton Bank and Trust for the past two years before moving to the auditing department at First State.
He is a member of the United States Tennis Association and participates in local and state tournaments.
First State Bank has 29 full-service banking locations in 23 communities throughout West, Middle and East Tennessee. It is owned by Community First Bancshares, a holding company headquartered in Union City, which also operates a mortgage company, an insurance company, a specialized ag services division, an employee benefits division, investment services, a consumer finance company and an in-direct auto financing division at various locations across the state.
