A special spring alumni weekend event is planned for Friday through Sunday to mark the grand opening of the new Alumni Center at the University of Tennessee at Martin.
After minor renovations, the Office of Alumni Relations has relocated to the Alumni Center, the building formerly known as the chancellor’s residence.
Saturday, an Alumni Center open house is planned from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The spring football game is slated for 10 a.m., followed by the Rodeo Community Feed and Auction from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and Skyhawk softball and baseball games at 1 p.m. Musical entertainment is scheduled at 3:30 p.m. at the Alumni Center featuring an alumni band, 27bStroke6. The rodeo begins at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday brunch will be from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the cafeteria in Boling University Center.
A weekend package is available for alumni to purchase online at www.utmforever.com or by calling (731) 881-7610. The package includes: lunch Saturday, compliments of the UT Martin Rodeo team and MTD; a ticket to the Saturday night performance of the rodeo; Sunday brunch, sponsored by Sodexho Dining Services; and a UT Martin T-shirt. The package is $35 per person older than 18 years of age and $30 for those under age 18.
