UCHS PARTICIPATES — The 52nd annual Tennessee Mathematics Teachers Association High School Mathematics Contest was recently conducted at the University of Tennessee at Martin. About 6,000 of the state’s top mathematics students competed at 23 different testing centers located across the state. Examinations were given in six areas: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Statistics and Calculus. Students from Union City High School who participated in the contest at the UT Martin testing site were (from left, front row) teacher J.B. Miss Bruff placed third in geometry, Miss Hardin eighth in Algebra II and Chapman second in geometry.
