“Le Pacte des Loups (Brotherhood of the Wolf),” the second movie in the 2007 Modern Foreign Languages Foreign Film Series, is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Oct. 12 in Watkins Auditorium of Boling University Center at the University of Tennessee at Martin.
“Brotherhood of the Wolf” is no formulaic, Hollywood, werewolf celluloid. Instead, it is a dark and profoundly disturbing tale of the terrifying beast of Gévaudan, a real-life series of grim murders that took place in 18th Century France, as retold in the shadow of death by frightened survivors.
Each foreign film is in its original foreign language and contains English subtitles. All foreign film series movies are free and open to the public. The film series is funded by the College of Humanities and Fine Arts and the Student Activities Council.
