‘BED’LAM — A bed-racing team from Sweetwater Farms Development (left) took on a team known as “the Crazy Guys” in the final race of the inaugural bed race held Saturday afternoon on East Church Street next to Kiwanis Park in downtown Union City as part of CornFest. Sweetwater Farms finished in first place, with “the Crazy Guys” taking the runner-up spot. Several teams of five — including one rider and four pushers — competed to see who had the fastest bed in town. The event drew a large crowd of onlookers who cheered on the competitors.
