Nursing home plans events



Obion County Nursing Home has announced the following activities for Aug. 18-24 at the nursing home. Monday: A coffee break and current events meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. A devotional will be at 10:30. A bead class will begin at 2. At 3:30, “I Love Lucy” videos will be shown. Tuesday: A coffee break will be held at 9:30 a.m. At 10 a.m. crosswords will be done. A ride to a Martin park will be offered at 1:30 p.m. At 3:30, a front porch social will be held. Watermelon will be served. Wednesday: A coffee break and Bible trivia will be held at 9:30 a.m. At 10:30 jigsaw puzzles will be put together. A game of bingo will be held at 1:30 and bingo covercard will be offered at 2:30. Thursday: Beauty shop will be held from 8-11 a.m. Manicures will be given at 1. Seniors can participate in a bowling tournament at 2:30. Friday: A coffee break and Bible study will be held at 9:30 a.m. At 10 a.m., Wii-baseball games will be played. Bingo will be offered at 1:30 and Skip-Bo card game will be played at 2:30. Saturday: At 10 a.m. First Assembly Church of God will visit and hold services. A Saturday matinee of “We’re in the Army Now” will be watched and fruit tray will be served at 1:30 p.m. At 3:30, Sudoku puzzles will be offered. Sunday: At 10 a.m., Troy First Baptist Church will visit. At 1 p.m., Knexn Youth Group will entertain the residents. Tea time and family visits will be enjoyed at 2.
