Nursing home events set



Obion County Nursing Home has announced the following activities for Sept. 8-14 at the nursing home. Monday: A coffee break will be held at 9:30 a.m. Sheet decorating will follow at 10:30. A pizza party will be enjoyed at 1:30 p.m. and a game of Yatzee will be played at 2:30. Tuesday: At 9:30 a.m., a coffee break will be held. At 10:30, members of Sanders Chapel Church will visit. A resident council meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. and at 2, a van venture will be offered to the residents. Wednesday: A coffee break with current events will be held at 9:30 a.m. At 2 p.m., bingo will be played with Second Baptist Church members. Thursday: Beauty shop services will be offered 8-11 a.m. At 10, Wii-bowling games will be played. Manicures will be given at 1:30 p.m. Card games will be played at 2:45. Friday: A coffee break will be held at 9:30 a.m. Sudoko will be played at 10:30, followed by bingo with covercard at 1:30 p.m. At 3, a front porch social will be enjoyed. Saturday: At 10 a.m., First Assembly of God will visit and hold services. Crossword puzzles will be enjoyed at 1:30, with a fruit tray offered to residents at that time. At 2:30, a matinee featuring “The Golden Girls” will be offered. Sunday: At 10 a.m., Troy First Baptist Church will visit and hold services.
