Hargroves to minister
The Rev. Ricky and Vicky Hargrove of Iberia, Ill., will be guest speakers Sunday at both the 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. services at Samburg Assembly of God. The Borders Family of Union City will also be singing at both services.
The Rev. George Hutchison and the congregation invite the community to join them for these special services.
‘Makeover’ session set
Troy First Baptist Church will be hosting a “40 Days to an Extreme Makeover” session Sunday at 6 p.m.

Singing service slated
Samburg Pentecostal Church will host the singing evangelist, the Rev. Dave Peterson, and his wife, Bonita, of Indianapolis Monday at 7 p.m. The community is invited to attend.
Study to begin
“The Life You’ve Always Wanted,” a six-session study using video clips and group discussion, will be offered beginning Tuesday at 10 a.m. and continuing each Tuesday morning at Union City’s First Church of God, located at 415 South Miles Ave.
Workbooks are $10 and may be purchased in the church office of Wayne McLean, director of senior ministries. He will lead the sessions which will include the topics “It’s Morphing Time,” “Slowing Down and Celebrating,” “Praying and Confessing,” “Meditating on Scripture and Seeking Guidance,” “Practicing Servanthood, Finding Freedom” and “Going the Distance With a Well-Ordered Heart.”

Pancake breakfast planned
Greater Vision Church of God women will sponsor a pancake breakfast Saturday from 7-11 at the church, located at 701 Mary Jane St. in Troy. The menu will include pancakes, sausage or bacon and beverage for $5.
All proceeds will go to benefit the women’s ministries.
The Rev. Thomas O. Sanders and the congregation invite the community to attend.
Fund raiser slated
Bells Chapel CME Church, located at 207 North Highland Drive in Fulton, will host a yard sale and fish fry Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. on the church parking lot. The fish dinners will sell for $7.50. Organizers say there will be lots of clothes and odds and ends.
