DSCC names Morris as new vice president

Tina Morris, dean of continuing education at Dyersburg State Community College, has been named vice president for institutional advancement at the college. Ms. Morris has served Dyersburg State in a number of capacities. Since 1997, she has worked as adjunct instructor for the college in business and technology. In 2001, she joined the college in her full-time role as dean. From 2006-07, she served as both dean of continuing education and interim dean of business and technology. Prior to that, she served as a corporate vice president for First Citizens National Bank. Ms. Morris earned a master of business administration degree and bachelor of science degree in education from the University of Tennessee at Martin and an associate’s degree from Dyersburg State. She will fill the position upon the Oct. 31 retirement of Dr. Douglas “Buck” Tarpley.
