FEEDING THE HUNGRY — Members of Daystar Bible Church in Martin kept an 18-year tradition of feeding the less fortunate in Weakley County going on Thanksgiving as they cooked, boxed and delivered 560 meals that morning. Volunteers gathered early on Thanksgiving Day at Shepherd's Field in Martin to prepare a turkey feast with all of the trimmings that day. The tradition began 18 years ago with food cooked in crock pots the night before. This is a yearly effort by members of the local church. WCP 12.02.08
