State champ — Tiffany Rechis was crowned as the state champion in the 10-11 age division of the Elks Lodge Hoop Shoot. The competition is based on hitting the most free throws in 25 attempts.The Martin resident won the local competition hosted by the Dresden Elks by hitting 16 free throws. With that win, she advanced to district level where she hit 19 for another top finish in competition at Trenton. At the state level, Rechis hit 20 free throws to earn the state championship during action at Franklin. Rechis finished in fourth place in the South Regional competition.
