Golf scrambles to benefit local charities, groups

Golf Tourney To Aid Carl Perkins Center
The Carl Perkins Center Ladies Charity Golf Tournament will be held Apr. 25 at Persimmon Hills Golf Course in Sharon. Tee time will 8:30 that morning.
Cost to enter the four-person scramble is $65 per player. The entry fee includes a cart, green fee, lunch and a chance to win prizes.
Prizes will be awarded to teams finishing in first, second and third places. Additional prizes will be awarded during lunch.
The registration deadline is Apr. 23.
Hole sponsorships will cost $100 and must be paid for by Apr. 15.
The scramble will benefit services provided to child abuse victims and their families.

• Golf Tourney Will Benefit Walk of Hope
An 18-hole, four-person mixed scramble will be held Apr. 11 at Wynridge Golf Club in Troy. All proceeds from the tourney will benefit Walk of Hope.
The event will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
Entry fee is $45 per person if registered by April 6. The fee is $50 if registered after that. Entry fee includes a grilled chicken lunch. All preregistered teams will be entered into special prize drawings.
Sponsorships of holes may be purchased for $100.

• Scramble Will Benefit Youth Camp, Mission Trip
A four-person scramble will be held May 2 at Persimmon Hills Golf Course in Sharon. Proceeds from the scramble will benefit First Baptist Church Youth Camp and Senior High Mission Trip.
The tournament which will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
Cost to participate is $40 per person and includes lunch and an entry in a give-away for a Nike Sasquatch Driver.
Competing golfers may purchase two mulligans for $5 with a limit of eight mulligans per team.
First, second and third flight awards will be presented. Door prizes will be given away. Prizes will awarded for longest drive and closest to the pins.
