‘Walk’ event set

7th Seal and Impact Praise Team will be at Troy Square Park Saturday to take part in the benefit for Hometown Walk of Hope from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Admission is free and those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy a day of events at the fund raiser.


There will be music by DJ CC at 10 a.m., with Lori Beth McMahan appearing at noon, followed by 7th Seal at 1 and Jamie Worrell at 3. The Impact Praise Team will be featured at 2 p.m. and The Disciples will take the stage at 5. In addition, there will be guest speakers such as the Rev. John Clark at 11 a.m. and the Rev. A.E. McCadney at 2. 


Families can also enjoy a toy walk, face painting, a cartoonist, a silent auction, concessions and a bake sale, with all funds going to Hometown Walk of Hope.


The theme for the event will be Luke 6:38 — “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
