Deidra Beene, of Henderson, University of Tennessee at Martin adjunct professor of management, recently was honored at the third annual awards ceremony for Online Teachers of the Year at UT Martin. Dr. Tommy Cates, right, UT Martin Online and University Studies director, presented the award. Beene has taught online classes for several years. “Ms. Beene has the reputation for preparing her students to move into more advanced management courses. She is always willing to help her students learn material in ways that they can apply it in their careers,” said Cates. Also pictured is Dr. John Overby, Department of Management, Marketing and Political Science chair. Beene is UT Martin McNairy County Center/Selmer director.
