Posted: Thursday, May 7, 2009 4:59 pm The Messenger, May 7, 2009 Union City Coca-Cola Co. team is taking orders for barbecued ribs for $15 a slab or barbecued bologna for $10 for five pounds. Pickup will be Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the striped tent at the plant at 1915 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City. Call 885-5140 to place orders.——— Members of the Doctor’s Clinic team are renting space for a yard sale May 16 for $10 each at the East Reelfoot Avenue in Union City location. Space is limited. This is a make-up date because of a rain-out. If a new rain date becomes necessary, it will be May 30. To secure a location, call 885-5131. In addition to the yard sale, there will be a bake sale and car wash. The yard sale and bake sale will begin at 8 a.m., with the car wash set for 10. New dates have also been set for the cookout that was rained out. It will be Saturday, beginning at 11:30 a.m. The menu will include grilled chicken halves, donated by Tyson and prepared by “Chef” Bobby Rankin. The cost will be $5 per plate. Call 885-5100 to purchase copies. ——— Team Taylor is selling Snappy Pizza cards for $10 each. These may be purchased in Union City at Second Glance and in Troy at Blondie’s and Cut-n-Curl through the end of June.
