A Gleason man accused of the stabbing death of a woman last July took his own life last week while being incarcerated in Carroll County.
Paul Honaker of Gleason had apparently been on suicide watch at the jail. He was found hanging in his cell in the early morning hours of May 13.
The 42-year-old Gleason man was accused of killing Linda Jackson by stabbing her repeatedly. After his alleged attack on Jackson, he was discovered by authorities who found him with a knife in his stomach.
Honaker had been on suicide watch after he was released from The Med in Memphis.
Authorities cite that his cell had been checked every 10 to 15 minutes since his incarcaration.
