Milburn E. Harris, 82, of Martin, died Wednesday, June 30, 2009, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at McConnell Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Dowdy and Rev. Dale True officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery, Martin with Murphy Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-8 tonight and at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the church.
Cleatus Wilbanks, Kevin Barnes, Joe Wade, Mike Brundige, Bobby McConnell and Kirk Coley will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Fon Brasure, Jap Elliott, Sam Grissom, Keven Bruner, Jimmy McMinn, Jerrel Doss and Will Frields.
Harris was born October 8, 1926, in Weakley County, son of the late Joe and Lorine Fullerton Harris. He was the widower of Edwina Hale Harris and Evelyn "Polly" Long Harris, a retired supervisor with Swift Company in Fulton, Ky., and member of McConnell Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Danny (Caroline) Harris of Greenfield; one daughter, Janet (Gordon) Wilbanks of Martin; and two grandsons, Cory Wilbanks and Clint Wilbanks.
