Getting into golf — Martin Parks & Recreation in conjunction with Doe Valley Golf Center held a pair of golf clinics for ages 10-18 last month. The sessions were held at the Doe Valley Golf Center and conducted by Gary Keating, PGA professional. Each participant learned the fundamentals of the game of golf. After completion of the week-long clinic, particpants were given a T-shirt and a certificate. Those attending the second clinic were (from left) Austin Youngblood, instructor Gary Keating, Cooper Gilliam, Ben Hardin, Austin Ingle, Gus Glass and David Kent Brundige.
