Gleason golfer inks with Bethel

Gleason golfer inks with Bethel | Gleason, Malorie James, Bethel golf team, Bethel women's golf head coach Monte Cunningham, Gleason, McKenzie, Tennessee

Former Gleason golf standout Malorie James (seated, right) is now a member of the Bethel golf team. On hand, were (seated, left) Bethel women's golf head coach Monte Cunningham, (standing, from left) Robert James, Matt James and Angie James.
The purple and gold worn by the Bethel women’s golf team may take on a hint of orange next season with the addition of a Gleason golfer.
Bethel head women’s golf coach Monte Cunningham was pleased to announce the signing on Malorie James to the 2009-10 class. James played four years at Gleason High School. She is the daughter of Robert and Sheila James and Angie James.
While at Gleason, James was All-District for three years, All Region for two years, earned the Girls Best Golfer Award for three years and won the longest drive competition.
James considers her long drives the strength of her game but wants to improve her short game while at Bethel.
Austin Peay State University also showed interest but James chose Bethel because it has small classes and is close to home.
She will major in Pre-Dental.
