All-state — Westview Lady Charger pitcher Shaylon Robb was named to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association All-State team for her outstanding efforts during the 2009 season. Robb helped pitch the Lady Chargers to their third consecutive trip to the TSSAA state tournament. During the season, the sophomore performed well both at the plate and on the mound. As a pitcher, she compiled a record of 20-4 with a miniscule earned run average of 0.49. She also struck out 254 batters. With a bat in her hand, Robb was just as tremendous an asset to the Westview team with a batting average of .343. She also drove in 34 runs and scored 34 runs in helping Westview to a record of 36-13. She was also named to first team All-District, the All-District Tournament MVP and was a first team selection to the All-West Tennessee team.
