Lady Charger Diamond Standouts — The Westview Lady Charger softball team held its postseason awards banquet July 8 to honor worthy individual efforts from the team's outstanding 2009 season. Players taking home individual awards included (front, from left) Sam Giesler, Leadership Award and Co-MVP; Kelly Gaston, All-District first team and Co-Most Runs Scored; Ashley Bynum, All-District first team, Most RBI, Silver Slugger Award and Miss Clutch Award; Jenna Hazelwood, All-District second team, Co-Most Runs Scored and Gold Glove Award; (back, from left) Katelyn Bowen, Charger Award; Shaylon Robb, All-District first team and Co-MVP; Shanna Chappell, All-District second team and 500 Klub; Grace Ann Swaim, All-District first team and Newcomer of the Year Award; and Maddison Henderson, Most Improved Award.
