Gospel singing set

There will be a gospel singing with the Mooreheads Sunday at 11 a.m. at Liberty Worship Center Church of God of Prophecy at 120 Forestdale St. in South Fulton.

The Rev. Danny Walker and the congregation invite the community to attend.

 

Car wash planned

Faith Lutheran Church youth group will sponsor a car wash Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the church, located at 2012 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City, across from the Coca-Cola plant. There will also be sno-cones, hot dogs, beverages and baked items for sale. 

Proceeds will support the youth trip to LCMS National Youth Gathering in New Orleans in 2010.

 

Saturday sales planned

Bells Chapel CME Church, located at 207 North Highland Drive in Fulton, will host a bake sale and yard sale Saturday beginning at 8 a.m.  

Pies and cakes will be sold whole or by the slice and beverages and water will also be available for this project sponsored by the congregation’s Christian Youth Fellowship

The Rev. Eric McKinney Sr. is pastor.

 

To honor McCadney

To honor one of Dyersburg’s longest ministering pastors, the Rev. W.L. McCadney of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, there will be a spectacular evening of gospel singing Aug. 22 at Yates Auditorium at the former Dyersburg High School. Tickets will be $10 in advance or $12 at the door. 

Music will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the community is invited to attend.

 To host assembly

United Church of the Living God at 609 Martin Luther King Drive in Fulton will be hosting the Kentucky and Tennessee State Assembly through Sunday. 

Services will be this evening, Friday and Sunday at 7. 

There will be no Saturday service.

The Rev. Margaret Pettigrew is pastor. She and the congregation invite the community to attend.

 

To celebrate homecoming

Fulton First United Methodist Church, located on Carr Street, will be celebrating homecoming Aug. 16, during the regular worship hour.  A  potluck dinner will follow and there will also be special musical entertainment and the viewing of a video composite of church activities throughout the years.

Everyone is invited to attend, a spokesman said.
