Anchor House in Union City will hold the following events: Sunday, Oct. 4 at 3 p.m., Board Meeting at 811 W. Reelfoot Ave., Lot 92; Saturday, Nov. 7, A.R.M. sponsored dance. Proceeds will go to Anchor House. The event is open to everyone. Admission is $5.
Anchor House needs include: Groceries – milk, juice, coffee, tea, meats canned vegetables, sugar, flour, fresh fruits and vegetables; household – dishwashing liquid, paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies for bathroom and kitchen; personal care – shampoo, deodorant, shaving cream, razors, toothpaste; miscellaneous – riding lawn mower, vans are in need of maintenance, postage for newsletters, skilled labor to check out the furnace on the original home, help with utilities and other expenses; and the new home needs underpinning before winter months.
