The Messenger congratulates Mr. and Mrs. Corey Jones of Union City on the birth of a son, Sam Hayden, born 12:26 p.m., Sept. 22, 2007, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City. He weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. He is the brother of Jack Logan, 6. His grandparents are Pam Hughes and Jim Hughes, both of Union City, and Donna Sturgis of Troy. He is the great-grandson of Martha Tarkington and Robert and Ruby Hughes, all of Union City, and Mildred Hinson of Troy. His mother is the former Amber Hughes of Union City.
